Model INT6 6" 304 Stainless Steel Intarsia Machine 

Specifications:

Motor: The Model INT6 comes with a heavy duty 1/2 horsepower 1725 RPM, TEFC Nema 48 motor. 

Base: The INT6 Base is made from durable phenolic and can withstand extended exposure to moisture.

Frame: The INT6 heavy duty frame housing is constructed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel so it will never rust. 

Drain: The ample drain is located on the back side of the housing and allows the machine to be easily cleaned and does not impede the access to the work area.  

Water Delivery: The Highland Park INT6 Intarsia Machine has a drip feed water delivery system. The water feed comes from the supply bottle with 4mm poly tubing into the valve assembly that is located at the top of the unit. The valve are is a fine flow needle valve and allows the consistent fine flow of water to the workpiece. The valve has a removable needle that can easily be removed for cleaning or for servicing the seal. 

Drain: The ample drain is located on the back side of the housing and allows the machine to be easily cleaned and does not impede the access to the work area.  

Light: The INT6 come complete with a bright gooseneck LED lamp that allows ample lighting on the workpiece.

Main Hub and Backer Plate: The INT6 Main Hub is made from 316 Stainless Steel and supports the heavy duty 6061Aluminum Backer Plate. The Backer Plate is precision ground and the assembly runs true and vibration free for precision grinding and finishing.

Main Deck: The INT6 Main Deck is precision machined from 304 Stainless Steel. The Main Deck is mounted to the Housing and has 2 adjustment screws that facilitate easy adjustment to achieve perfect 90 degree adjustment with the face of the Backer Plate. This is a critical feature in any Intarsia machine to insure that all ground edges on the workpieces are made straight and square. The main deck is also provided with locating hole for screws and dowel pins. This allows any jig to be used with exact repeatability.

Main Housing Adjustment: The main housing mounts allow adjustment to control the gap between the grinding disk and the Main Deck, additionally the adjustment allows the ability to get the Main Deck completely parallel with the Backer Plate, this is also a critical feature for any Intarsia machine because being parallel to the Backer Plate insures that any angle being ground is accurate and correct.

 

Options: Tooling: There are currently jig tooling that allows for grinding 11 deg, 60 deg and 45 deg bevels, and 45 deg, 60 deg and 75 deg angles. (Tooling is not included and can be purchased separately. Also, custom tool requests are accepted.)
